After 5 years as AlleyCorp Nord, we're changing our name to Toboggan Labs. Same team, same expertise, same commitment to building fantastic products. No M&A, no leadership changes; just a new name.

Why toboggan? A toboggan is a beautifully simple piece of engineering. No frills and no unnecessary complexity, just a well-designed tool that goes fast. It's also quite Canadian, which felt right for a Montreal-based company. It’s even a bilingual word! Finally, tobogganing is fun. The consensus from our team members, clients, and friends is that the appropriate sound effect for tobogganing is "wheeeee!" We believe innovation should feel that way too.

Why labs? Because we're not just consultants executing a playbook. We experiment, we prototype, we iterate. Our best work happens when we're testing new approaches and pushing what's possible with AI in healthcare.

Why now? We remain extremely close with AlleyCorp. AlleyCorp portfolio companies are some of our favourite clients, and that relationship continues. But we've grown well beyond the portfolio, and the too-similar names can cause some confusion. More importantly, what we do today—specialized AI and engineering for healthcare organizations of all sizes—deserves a name that's distinctly ours.
